Suggested Itinerary

Start your journey with a comfortable pickup in Budapest at 1Budapest / Starting Point, where your Welcome Driver will meet you at your accommodation and prepare you for a full day along Hungary’s most scenic river route.

Begin your exploration in 2Esztergom, home to Hungary’s largest basilica and one of the country’s most important religious and historical landmarks. Admire the monumental neoclassical architecture, explore the hilltop cathedral overlooking the Danube, and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views stretching across Hungary and Slovakia.

Continue your journey to 3Visegrad, a historic hilltop town famous for its medieval citadel and spectacular Danube Bend views. Visit the ancient fortress perched high above the river, discover the remains of the former royal palace, and capture unforgettable photos from one of Hungary’s most scenic lookout points.

From there, make your way to 4Szentendre, a charming riverside town known for its artistic atmosphere, colorful Baroque architecture, and traditional Hungarian character. Wander through its cobbled streets, browse local art galleries and craft boutiques, and enjoy the relaxed ambiance of this beloved cultural destination.

Conclude your journey at 5Slovakia side of Danube river, where you can enjoy a scenic perspective from the opposite side of the Danube. Depending on the season, you may also choose to end your experience with a romantic river cruise back to Budapest, gliding along the water as you admire the landscapes you’ve explored.

At the end of your sightseeing ride, your Welcome Driver will drop you off at your accommodation or any other central location you prefer in Budapest.

Tip: River cruises operate from May 1 to September 30, tide permitting. Outside these dates, or if river conditions are unsuitable, your return to Budapest will be by car.

➜ Pickup and drop-off are included from any centrally located hotel, B&B, or apartment in the city area. Your driver will meet you at the selected location and assist you before the ride begins.

➜ Airport and port pickups/drop-offs are not included in the standard sightseeing ride. If you need one, simply book an additional transfer for seamless service.

➜ Entrance tickets are not included. Your driver can guide you on the best way to book tickets for the attractions you’d like to visit.
