Your journey begins with pickup by a friendly, English-speaking driver in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. Get ready to explore the flavors and hidden gems of Kefalonia on a private, customizable ride designed to show you the island’s authentic side.

Start in 1Argostoli, the lively capital of the island. Take a stroll along the charming harbor promenade, lined with cafés, shops, and fishing boats, and keep an eye out for the sea turtles that often gather near the pier. Enjoy the local buzz as you get your first taste of Kefalonia’s warm island spirit.

Next, your driver will take you through rolling hills and scenic countryside to visit 1–2 local wineries, where Kefalonia’s winemaking tradition comes to life. Sample the island’s signature varietals, such as Robola, and learn about the unique terroir shaped by volcanic soil and mountain breezes. To end your experience, you’ll visit 4Palaia Vlachata, a hauntingly beautiful abandoned village nestled in the hills. Once a thriving community, the village was devastated by the massive earthquake of 1953, which forced residents to flee and leave their homes behind. Today, nature has reclaimed much of the stone-built architecture, creating an atmospheric and almost timeless landscape. Stroll through the quiet ruins, overgrown alleys, and crumbling homes, and soak in panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and sea. It’s a moving reminder of Kefalonia’s resilience and a peaceful, thought-provoking stop that contrasts perfectly with the livelier parts of the island.
