Suggested Itinerary

Your day will begin with a personal pickup by your English-speaking driver from your hotel or apartment in Porto in a private air-conditioned vehicle.

The driver will suggest the route of the trip with the key attractions are worth the visit. Since this is a personal sightseeing ride, the driver will stop at any attraction of your choice and spend there as much time as you wish.

After 2.5 hour ride along the Western Atlantic Ocean coast, you will reach the town of 2Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. You will have a chance to explore a beautiful UNESCO-listed old town with such astonishing religious monuments as Santiago de Compostela Cathedral. This Roman Church is known for its outstanding Romanesque and Gothic styles. The church was completed in the early 13th century, it reaches up to 75 meters to the sky, and is a famous UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Among other religious buildings that attract visitors from all over the world are the 3Monastery of San Martiño Pinario, 4Convent of San Domingos de Bonaval, and 5Convent of San Paio de Antealtares.

Another significant landmark in the city is 9Monte do Gozo a popular hill in Santiago de Compostela is a perfect spot to admire the panoramic views of the city. On top of it, you will see a Christian pilgrimage with a chapel and various sculptures.

Locals also suggests visiting 6Parque de Bonaval, a quiet park with beautiful gardens, panoramic views of Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, and ruins of the old cemetery.

Even though Santiago de Compostela is a place with the Medieval spirit, there are exceptional contemporary buildings as well. 7City of Culture of Galicia and 8Galicia Contemporary Art Center are the perfect examples. The first one will impress you with unique architecture and at the latter one, you will see regional and international exhibitions of contemporary art.
