Suggested Itinerary
When on the road, your Welcomer will also serve as your local guide who will share the historical facts, the necessary information about the sights and, of course, his personal input in order to immerse you into the Belgian lifestyle. Take pictures, ask your driver about hidden gems or recommendations about local delights and where to taste them.

Firstly, you will marvel at one of the city’s most iconic attractions, the 2Belfry of Ghent, Belgium’s tallest belfry tower, which will reward you with a breathtaking view if you reach its top. Adjacent to the tower, the Cloth Hall played a very significant role in the middle-ages when the area was a commercial center for cloth trade. Within walking distance, the flamboyant Town Hall combines two different architectural styles on its facades, the Gothic and the Renaissance. 

3Saint Bavo's Cathedral is definitely a must-see during your trip. Its richly decorated interior will leave art-lovers speechless. Except for the baroque high altar, the Rococo pulpit in oak, it is also home to the Ghent Altarpiece, a large religious artwork known as the "Adoration of the Mystic Lamb" and painting "Saint Bavo enters the Convent at Ghent" by Rubens.

4St. Nicholas Church is one of the oldest and most prominent landmarks in Ghent. Along with Saint Bavo Cathedral and the Belfry is the third medieval tower that overlooks the old city center. It is located in 5Korenmarkt, a large square where the heart of the city beats. In case you are tired from the trip, this is the ideal spot to stop by for an uplifting cup of coffee in one of the numerous outdoor cafés. 

Just around the corner from Korenmarkt, St Michael’s Bridge or Grasbrug bridge will lead you across the River Lys to the scenic quays of 6Graslei and Korenlei. Take a moment to relax and admire the beautiful façades of buildings reflected in the water. A trip to Ghent is not complete unless you visit the 7Castle of the Counts, the only remaining medieval castle with a moat and largely intact defense system in Flanders. Wander around its chambers, halls and examine its unique collection of torture equipment. 

For the last part of the tour, you will explore the picturesque district of 8Patershol. Stroll along the charming cobblestone streets and taste traditional Flemish cuisine in one of the many restaurants or pubs the area offers. If you are a foodie, Patershol is the place for you!

At the end of the tour, your friendly Welcomer will drop you off at your accommodation.

➜ Pickup and drop-off are included from any centrally located hotel, B&B, or apartment in the city area. Your driver will meet you at the selected location and assist you before the ride begins.

➜ Airport and port pickups/drop-offs are not included in the standard sightseeing ride. If you need one, simply book an additional transfer for seamless service.

➜ Entrance tickets are not included. Your driver can guide you on the best way to book tickets for the attractions you’d like to visit.

➜ The itinerary is flexible — feel free to skip stops, stay longer, or add new locations based on your interests and available time.
