Plaza de Mayo, the historic heart of the city where many of Argentina’s most important political events have taken place. From here, admire 2. Casa Rosada, the iconic pink presidential palace famously associated with Eva Perón and her balcony speeches.

Just a short walk away, visit 3. Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral, the city’s main Catholic church and former cathedral of Pope Francis. Take time to appreciate its neoclassical façade and peaceful interior. Continue to 4.
