You can visit all the places from the list or pick only the ones you like. Just inform your driver about your choice before the ride. During the stops you can do whatever you want: visit the landmarks, take pictures e.t.c. Take as much time as you want within the overall time limit of the trip.
Zakynthos Town / Starting Point
Zakynthos, also known as Zante, is a city on the Ionian island of the same name, off Greece’s west coast.
Agios Dionysios Church
Agios Dionysios (St.Denis) Church. St.Denis church is the largest church in Zakynthos Town, the foundation of which began back in 1925.
Dafni Beach
Dafni beach is a beautiful, long and wide sandy beach, with a splendid view in the Gulf of Laganas.
Zakynthos Marine Park
The National Marine Park is in Laganas bay. The park, part of the Natura 2000 ecological network, covers an area of 135 square kilometers and is the habitat of the loggerhead sea turtle.
About the ride
After picking you up from your hotel or apartment in Zakynthos, your English-speaking driver will share with you his local knowledge as well as personal recommendations in each area. Your driver will also suggest photo stops of important landmarks along the way, however, you may also choose where and for how long you wish to stop at each place.
Your driver will take you to the stops on your itinerary. These can include:
- Agios Dionisios Church, Corfu's largest church located in Zante town. The modern exterior hides the traditional and beautiful gold-adorned architecture within.
- Dafni Beach, by the mountain shore with a surrounding inn, bar, and restaurant.
- Marine Park, located in Laganas Bay, this park is a safe habitat for species like sea turtles and boasts beautiful sand dunes, nesting grounds, and reefs.
- Keri Lighthouse, and the Keri Caves. Reach the cliffs and bask in the view of unique rock structures, mountains, and crystal-blue waters. Enjoy a snack and drink at the tavern overlooking the view.
- Anafonitria Monastery, a defensive Byzantine monument dating back to Constantinople. Appreciate the unique architecture, and wander the same halls as the Patron Saint of Zakynthos, Saint Dionysius.
- The Shipwreck Beach (Navagio). Stop by, take pictures and discover this iconic site. If you'd like, go for a swim in the crystal clear, turquoise waters and explore the world-famous Blue Caves.
