Suggested Itinerary

Begin your full-day adventure with a pickup from your accommodation in Auckland and travel south toward 1Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Here, you’ll experience a peaceful boat ride through dark limestone caverns illuminated by thousands of bioluminescent glowworms, creating a truly otherworldly natural spectacle.

Continue onward to 2Rotorua Geothermal Park, renowned for its geothermal activity. At sites such as Te Puia or Wai-O-Tapu, witness geysers erupting, bubbling mud pools, steaming vents, and vividly colored hot springs shaped by powerful volcanic forces.

After exploring Rotorua’s geothermal wonders, pause at 3Rotorua Lakefront & Government Gardens. Surrounded by the elegant Government Gardens, this area offers a calm and scenic setting to relax amid a blend of natural steam, lake views, and historic architecture.

If time allows, make an optional stop at 4Māori Cultural Center, where you can gain insight into local traditions, artistry, and heritage, and possibly experience a brief haka performance.
