Suggested Itinerary

After pickup from your accommodation in Edinburgh, begin your scenic journey north into the Scottish Highlands. Your first stop is 2Pitlochry, a charming Highland village and an ideal place for a short walk, coffee break, and time to stretch your legs.

Continue deeper into the Highlands to 3Loch Ness Viewpoint (near Fort Augustus), a scenic viewpoint near Fort Augustus overlooking the mysterious waters of Loch Ness. Take in the atmosphere and enjoy panoramic views of one of Scotland’s most legendary lochs.

Next, stop at 4Urquhart Castle (view from exterior), where you can admire views across the deepest part of Loch Ness and capture memorable photos of this iconic ruin set against the dramatic landscape.

The journey continues with a panoramic drive through 5Inverness (drive-through), the capital of the Highlands, offering views of the River Ness and a glimpse into the cultural heart of the region.

On the return route, relax as you pass through 6Cairngorms National Park (return route), enjoying sweeping mountain vistas, open moorlands, and classic Highland scenery before heading back south.
