Description
Take a day trip from Lisbon to Sintra and Cascais - two of the most stunning and visited places in Portugal.
During this experience, you will see the colorful castles and gardens in Sintra and explore the authentic fishing town of Cascais, together with its beaches and other natural surroundings. This experience will be even more special because you are free to customize your trip and choose where to go first and how much time to spend in each place.
On the day of the trip, the Welcome Driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Lisbon and give the complete tour in an air-conditioned, spacious car. On your way to different cities, you will have a chance to stop at the most picturesque locations and admire the wonders of the Portuguese architecture and nature. In approximately 0.5-hour, you will reach [ride_stop:2], a charming Portuguese town with fascinating attractions such as colorful castles, palaces or beautiful Portuguese gardens. During your time there, you will have a chance to see the major sights such as [ride_stop:3] or Quinta da Regaleira.

Once you have seen the most in Sintra, you will head to [ride_stop:4] In less than 30 min you will be able to explore the authentic Portuguese fishing town and its stunning beaches. The Welcome Driver will also take you to the top natural attraction in the town - Boca do Inferno (English - Hell's Mouth) or [ride_stop:5].
Upon your request, the Welcome Driver will suggest you the best places to taste traditional Portuguese meals or pastries. Pastel de nata, a Portuguese egg tart sprinkled with cinnamon, should be the first in your list!
Upon your request, it is possible to have lunch or dinner at the local restaurant, recommended by the Welcome Driver. At each stop, your friendly driver will answer all the questions you may have, share the local knowledge and more tips about each destination.
At the end of your sightseeing ride in Lisbon, your friendly Welcome Driver will drop you off back at your hotel or apartment.

Lelia was by far the most accommodating tour guide we have ever experienced. Cabo de Inferno is the highlight of this tour offering great views. Though it was raining by the time we reached Cabo De Inferno it was a wonderful experience to watch the sea and the long waves hitting hard the cliff.

- Please note that the Welcome Drivers are not licensed to be your official tour guide at the local attractions and therefore will not accompany you into the sites. You may, however, hire a professional tour guide at an extra cost.
- Your Welcome Driver will provide you with their local knowledge and personal recommendations between stops. Since your safety is Welcome’s top priority, please refrain from distracting the driver during demanding driving conditions.
- Your Welcome Driver will drop you off and pick you up as close as possible to your stop whilst always respecting local traffic laws.

Can I customize the tour based on my needs?
Of course, that is one of the main benefits of having a Welcome experience. You can customize every last bit of the experience, from points of visit to time spent per landmark to adding in an extra food stop.
Will there be an official tour guide?
An official tour guide is not included because the overall experience focuses on the local’s perspective. The drivers are very knowledgeable regarding the points of the visit but they cannot be compared with a licensed tour guide who can give more in-depth information regarding historical facts and information. If you like to include an official tour guide in the experience, please, let us know via email after the booking is completed.
