Another significant landmark in the city is Monte do Gozo, a popular hill in Santiago de Compostela is a perfect spot to admire the panoramic views of the city. On top of it, you will see a Christian pilgrimage with a chapel and various sculptures.
Local also suggest visiting Parque de Bonaval, a quiet park with beautiful gardens, panoramic views of Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, and ruins of the old cemetery.
Even though Santiago de Compostela is a place with the Medieval spirit, there are exceptional contemporary buildings as well. City of Culture of Galicia and Galicia Contemporary Art Center are the perfect examples. The first one will impress you with unique architecture and at the latter one, you will see regional and international exhibitions of contemporary art.
