Suggested Itinerary

At the desired time, an experienced English-speaking driver will pick you up from your accommodation in a private vehicle, ready to share historical facts, essential information about the sights, and personal insights that will immerse you in the Dutch lifestyle.

Begin your journey with a 30-minute ride to Zaanse Schans, a charming residential area where the 18th and 19th centuries come to life. Along the way, you will encounter authentic workshops demonstrating the crafting of traditional wooden clogs. Once there, be sure to visit the cheese factory, the pewter foundry, and the iconic Dutch windmills that define the landscape.

Your next stop is Volendam, one of the most famous fishing villages in Holland. Stroll through its picturesque harbor filled with Dutch ships, and if you wish, take a boat trip to Marken. Don’t forget to snap a photo in traditional Volendam clothing and explore the village’s museums to learn more about its heritage.

The final stop is Marken, a small province that was separated from the mainland by a great storm in the 13th century. This event led to centuries of isolation for its population, shaping the unique culture and character of the area. Marken later became a beloved settlement for local fishermen, adding to its charm and historical significance.
