Begin your full-day journey with a pickup from your accommodation in Auckland and travel south and east toward 1Thames or Kopu Lookout, where sweeping views over the Firth of Thames provide a spectacular introduction to the Coromandel Peninsula.

Continue onward to 2Hot Water Beach. Here, you’ll have time to dig your own natural sand spa and relax in warm mineral water that bubbles up directly from beneath the beach.

A short drive later, arrive at 3Cathedral Cove. Reached via a scenic coastal walk or shuttle ride, this iconic spot features a dramatic sea arch, limestone cliffs, and striking turquoise waters — ideal for photos and a peaceful seaside break.

Pause for lunch at 4Hahei Village or Cooks Beach, where Hahei Village or Cooks Beach offer a relaxed atmosphere with local cafés and beachside dining that reflect the laid-back Kiwi lifestyle.
