Suggested Itinerary

After sunset, begin your evening with pickup directly from your accommodation and set off on a private night ride through Vienna’s illuminated landmarks. Your first stop is Schönbrunn Palace, the former imperial summer residence of Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth (Sisi). Walk through the elegant formal gardens and up to the Gloriette to enjoy sweeping nighttime views over the city and the surrounding forests. If you wish, step inside the palace to admire celebrated interiors such as the Great Gallery, the Yellow Salon, Franz Joseph’s private suite, and the historic music room where Mozart performed as a child.

Continue along the Ringstrasse, one of the world’s most beautiful boulevards, where Vienna’s grand monuments shine after dark. Pass iconic sights including the Imperial Palace, the Kunsthistorisches Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Vienna State Opera, and Parliament, all dramatically illuminated and framed by palaces, parks, and historic monuments of the former Danube monarchy.

Next, stroll along Kärntner Straße, Vienna’s most famous shopping street. In the evening—and especially during December—this lively avenue comes alive with festive lights, creating a magical atmosphere perfect for a memorable walk through the city centre.

Your night continues with a drive up to Kahlenberg Hill, just outside the city, where you’ll enjoy one of the most breathtaking panoramic night views over Vienna, with the city lights stretching out below you. Conclude your evening at Belvedere Palace, a magnificent Baroque complex made up of the Upper and Lower Belvedere. Admire the palaces beautifully illuminated, a highlight of the night and one of the most striking photo opportunities of the tour.

After exploring Vienna by night, you may choose to be dropped off in the city centre to enjoy a drink, or return comfortably to your accommodation in your private vehicle, bringing your evening experience to a relaxed and elegant close.
