Suggested Itinerary

Begin your ride at 1Funchal Old Town (Zona Velha), where narrow cobbled streets and colorful buildings reveal the historic charm of Madeira’s old town. As you explore the area, your driver will share stories about the neighborhood’s maritime past and the traditions that shaped Funchal’s cultural identity.

Continue toward 2Monte Village & Monte Church, a picturesque village located high above the city. Here you can visit the historic church of Our Lady of Monte, an important religious site and one of the island’s most scenic viewpoints.

While in Monte, you’ll also pass through 3Monte Toboggan Ride Area, where Madeira’s famous wicker toboggan rides begin. This centuries-old tradition once served as a practical way for locals to travel down the steep streets and today remains one of the island’s most unique experiences (optional and not included).

From here the journey may continue toward 4Eira do Serrado Viewpoint, where a spectacular viewpoint reveals the dramatic mountain valley of Curral das Freiras. Surrounded by towering peaks, this hidden village sits deep within Madeira’s interior and offers one of the island’s most striking landscapes.

Before returning to Funchal, stop at 5Pico dos Barcelos Viewpoint, where one of the island’s most famous viewpoints provides panoramic views of the city, harbor, and Atlantic Ocean.

At the end of your sightseeing ride, your friendly Welcome Driver will drop you off at your accommodation.
