The eternal city indeed. We were a group of 6 people and we had Gaber with a black Mercedes Minivan to drive us around allowing us to stop anywhere for photos. Gaber's passion for Rome is huge! He has deep knowledge of the places we visited and offered a tailored treatment as we did not want to walk much. Ask to go to Janiculum to watch the cannons! Truly great experience!
You can visit all the places from the list or pick only the ones you like. Just inform your driver about your choice before the ride. During the stops you can do whatever you want: visit the landmarks, take pictures, ask your driver about the place e.t.c. Take as much time as you want within the overall time limit of the trip.
The massive stone amphitheater was commissioned around A.D. 70-72 by Emperor Vespasian of the Flavian dynasty as a gift to the Roman people.
Located almost in the 'geometric center' of Rome, Piazza Venezia was named after the Cardinal Venezia who, in 1455, ordered the construction of his own Palace.
Designed by Nicola Salvi and completed by Giuseppe Pannini in 1762, Trevi Fountain is considered a late Baroque masterpiece and a symbol of Rome.
The Roman Pantheon is the most preserved and influential building of ancient Rome. It is a Roman temple dedicated to all the gods of pagan Rome.

About the ride
If you have limited time in Rome, or if you want a detailed overview of the best sites before planning the rest of your visit, then our ‘Rome Highlights’ tour is the ideal one for you. On the day of the trip, you will be picked up directly from your accommodation and will be given the complete tour in an air-conditioned, spacious Sedan. Explore the iconic and stunning historical sites that Rome has to offer, in the comfort of your own private car. This luxury experience not only allows you to see the main landmarks of the city, but your English-speaking driver will also introduce you to some of Rome's hidden gems that only the locals know about.
Although your tour is completely customizable, we suggest the following itinerary as a basis for your own.
You will start your tour in the ancient area of Rome, where you will enter a world shrouded in rich history and exquisite architecture. At this stop, you will find the Roman Forum, founded in the 7th Century BC, the Palace of the Emperor, and of course, the awe-inspiring 1Colosseum.
Next you will travel up the ‘Road of Temples’ to the vibrant central hub of the city, the 2Piazza Venezia, and into the religious heart of Rome. Here you will have the chance to explore the 4Pantheon, one of the most famous and well-preserved ancient buildings in the world, and the 3Trevi Fountain, where you can throw a coin into the fountain to ensure a second trip to the eternal city. The nearby 5Piazza Navona is also worth a visit, as it is the perfect place to soak up some of the culture, take photos by the Fountain of The Four Rivers, and sample some of your driver's recommendations for the best pizza, pasta, or gelato in the city.
We recommend finishing up your tour with a stop at the 6Spanish Steps, one of Rome’s most popular tourist attractions, boasting the most beautiful views of the city. Climb the 138 steps and take full advantage of the once in a lifetime photo opportunities, before returning to your private Welcome car. If you have a little extra time, you may want to check out Rome’s upmarket shopping area Piazza Trinità dei Monti at the top of the Spanish Steps, pay a quick visit to the Vatican, or simply drive by 8St. Peter's Square or 7 Castel Sant'Angelo for some iconic photos.
You can include much more and also ask your drivers local advice about the best street food or restaurants! After the end of the tour, you may choose from continuing your stroll to the eternal city or be returned back to your hotel.

Frequently asked questionsExpand
What happens after I book?
Once you complete your booking you will receive an email with more details about the Rome Highlights tour, your Welcome driver, and any more information you need to know regarding this experience. Feel free to reach out to our customer service team at firstname.lastname@example.org for any specific questions regarding the experience.
Can I customize the tour based on my needs?
Of course, that is one of the main benefits of having a Welcome experience. You can customize every last bit of the experience, from points of visit to time spent per landmark to adding in an extra food stop.
Will there be an official tour guide?
An official tour guide is not included because the overall experience is centered around the driver and the local’s perspective. Although the drivers are very knowledgeable regarding the points of visit, at no point can they be compared with a licensed tour guide who can give more in depth information regarding historic facts and information. If you would like to include an official tour guide in the experience please let us know via email after the booking is completed.
Do I need to be in a good physical shape?
The drivers are trained to adapt the experience depending on the type of participants. Whether you have kids or elders participating, the drivers know exactly how to handle special requests and provide an enjoyable experience accordingly.
Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes and be equipped with wet weather gear if rain is expected. In addition, please note that religious sites require modest attire- knees and shoulders must be covered.
Book your Tickets in Advance
We strongly recommend booking your tickets for the Colosseum in advance. You can ask your Welcome driver about prices, times and general information on tickets.
Be aware of the heat
In the summer months be sure to wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and perhaps a hat, to shield yourself from the sun. We also recommend staying hydrated throughout the tour with the water provided.
Bring cash in the form of local currency (Euros), as many of the local vendors don’t accept card payments.
Special Needs & Accessibility
Please let us know if anyone in your group has special needs, or specific accessibility requirements, and we will be sure to accommodate your needs and tailor the tour accordingly.
