Take a break from the busy city and begin your day with a relaxing drive along the beautiful coastline of the Megara Gulf toward the Peloponnese. After a personal pickup from your hotel or apartment, your driver will welcome you and introduce you to the highlights of the region.
Your first stop is 
2Corinth Canal, the impressive Corinth Canal. Completed in 1893, this dramatic waterway divides mainland Greece from the Peloponnese and connects the two major gulfs. From the movable bridge, you can look down nearly 80 meters to the sparkling water below — the perfect spot for unforgettable photos. Ask your driver about the canal’s remarkable construction and unique history.
From the canal, continue through the picturesque olive groves of the Peloponnese to 
3Ancient Corinth, the ancient city that once played a major role in the classical world. As you walk through the Agora, explore the majestic Temple of Apollo, the most significant monument in Ancient Corinth and an essential stop for understanding the city’s deep historical and biblical connections.
Your journey then takes you to the legendary citadel of 
4Mycenae, home to Agamemnon and one of Greece’s most important archaeological treasures. Pass through the imposing 20-foot-wide Cyclopean walls and enter the famed Lion’s Gate. Visit Agamemnon’s throne room, explore the royal tombs and spend time in the excellent on-site museum.
Next, arrive in the beautiful port town of 
5Nafplio Old Town, known for its charming streets, Venetian architecture and waterfront views. This is the perfect place to take a break, enjoy a traditional Greek lunch or browse the local shops. Afterward, admire the fortress of Palamidi perched high above the town before continuing your journey.
Travel deeper into the Peloponnese to the UNESCO-listed Sanctuary of 
6Theatre of Epidaurus, the sacred center dedicated to Asklepios, the god of medicine. Explore the temples, healing buildings and, of course, the world-famous Theatre of Epidaurus, celebrated for its outstanding acoustics and remarkable preservation. It remains one of the most impressive ancient theaters in Greece.

We did two tours with Welcome - the first to Delphi and the second to Ancient Corinth, Mycenae, Nafplio and the Ancient Theater at Epidaurus. In the planning stage Margareth (customer support) was very responsive and answered all my emails promptly explaining the tours and itineraries. It was very easy to organize via email, paying a deposit via the usual electronic service used by all operators and paying the balance at the end of our tour. John, our driver, speaks fluent English. He picked us up from our apartment in Thisseo and was there when he said he would be. The days out were truly memorable and the restaurants, particularly the one in Delphi were great recommendations. The car is extremely comfortable. This was a great way to see much more than Athens (even though it has many historical riches itself) in comfort with a professional operator. I cannot recommend Welcome highly enough - they are very professional and you should choose him for your tours in and outside of Athens. The history of Delphi and Mycenae, the two star attractions for us are beyond description in how amazing they were and how special it felt to be there. They were very memorable days for us.
