Suggested Itinerary

Your day begins with a personal pickup from your hotel or apartment in Athens. After a brief introduction, you will board your private ride and begin a 45 km journey to Marathon, the legendary town where the famous Battle of Marathon took place in 490 BC.

Your first stop is 2Lake Marathon, a beautiful artificial lake surrounded by nature. Perfect for walking, relaxing or enjoying a refreshing swim, this reservoir supplied water to Athens between 1931 and 1959 and remains one of the most scenic spots in the region.

Continue to 3Marathon Tomb, the solemn burial mound dedicated to the 192 Athenian soldiers who defeated the Persian forces in the historic Battle of Marathon. According to legend, a messenger ran nearly 40 km from the battlefield to Athens to announce the victory, only to collapse from exhaustion — a heroic act that later inspired the modern marathon race.

After taking your time at this significant archaeological site, your driver will take you to 5Marathon Run Museum, a fascinating museum dedicated to the history of the Olympic marathon. Explore a rare collection of sporting artifacts dating back to 1896, including memorabilia from the first modern Olympic Games.

At the end of your ride, your friendly driver will drop you off at your accommodation or any central location of your choice.
