The Athenian Riviera

Including prestigious seaside suburbs of Alimos, Palaio Faliro, Glyfada and Voula is the coastal area in the southern suburbs of Athens, it's widely known for its beaches and considered the capital's nightlife hub.

Temple of Poseidon

Cape Sounion is noted for its Temple of Poseidon, one of the major monuments of the Golden Age of Athens. Its remains are perched on the headland, surrounded on three sides by the sea.

Vouliagmeni Lake

Lake Vouliagmeni is a small brackish-water lake fed by underground currents seeping through the mass of Mount Hymettus located to the south of Vouliagmeni.

About the ride

Your day will begin with a personal pickup by your English-speaking driver from your hotel or apartment in Athens. After a quick introduction, you will board your private ride and begin a 20 km journey to the Athenian Riviera. If you wish, you will head further along the West Coast and spend the rest of your day at the magnificent Aegean Sea.

Astir Beach, the everlasting classic on the Athenian Riviera, located 20 km from the center of Athens, in the seaside suburb Vouliagmeni. Praised both by locals and travelers, Astir Beach is known for 100% sand beach and rocky picturesque landscape. The beach offers a lot of finest services, including free Wi-Fi and the pre-booking option.

The luxury experience at Astir Beach is offered for a fee that ranges from 18 to 28 euros per adult, depending on the time of the week.

Yabanaki Beach, the spacious beach with shallow waters located 26 km from the center of Athens. A variety of activities is offered here, both for adults and children. You shall find many different restaurants in the resorts nearby where you will have the chance to try traditional Greek food.

The fee also applies here but it is much smaller – 5 or 6 euros per adult, during either the weekdays or weekends, respectively.

Do I need to be in a good physical shape?

The drivers are trained to adapt the experience depending on the type of participants. Whether you have kids or elders participating, the drivers know exactly how to handle special requests and provide an enjoyable experience accordingly.

Can I customize the tour based on my needs?

What happens after I book?

Will there be an official tour guide?

An official tour guide is not included because the overall experience is centered around the driver and the local’s perspective. Although the drivers are very knowledgeable regarding the points of visit, at no point can they be compared with a licensed tour guide who can give more in-depth information regarding historical facts and information. If you would like to include an official tour guide in the experience please let us know via email after the booking is completed.

Can i book my pickup from anywhere?

Hey there! Just a quick note: our transfer pickups are set within the city (usually from a Hotel or residential address) to make your journey smoother. But no sweat! If you're arriving at an airport or port, you can book a transfer to the city center and share your transfer number with our support team so that we can combine the two, and we'll ensure a seamless transition to your destination so that you can start a great sightseeing ride. In the summer months, the Greek sun is especially strong (even on cloudy days) so we recommend that you wear a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen to protect yourself. Also, be sure to drink enough water throughout the day to stay hydrated.
