After approximately 3 hours you will arrive at your main destination, 2Delphi Archaeological Site. According to Ancient Greek Mythology, Zeus released two Eagles from the West and East, and where they met in the middle would mark the center of the world. Delphi became a sanctuary dedicated to Apollo, the son of Zeus, as well as the site of the ancient Oracle. At the sacred archaeological site, you will get the chance to visit the Temple of Apollon, The Castalia Spring, the 3Delphi Archaeological Museum and the Great 4Ancient Theatre. Delphi was also home to the Pythian Games, the precursors of the Modern Olympics, which would attract athletes from all over the country every four years.
