Depart Barcelona early in the morning and head directly to the historic town of 2Baga, arriving at around 8:30. Here, you can visit the impressive St. Esteve de Bagà church and stroll around Plaça Porxada, the 13th-century central square. Surrounded by the peaks of the Casi-Moixeró mountains, this medieval setting offers perfect photo opportunities.
Crossing the border into France, your next stop is the fortified town of 3Mont Louis. Enjoy a traditional French breakfast of croissants, pain au chocolat, and café au lait. In Mont-Luis, explore the remarkable Vauban-designed citadel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and visit the world’s first solar furnace, built in 1949 by engineer Felix Trombe.
Leaving Mont-Luis at 11:00, continue your scenic drive along the Pyrenees until you reach 4Andorra. Your next destination is the capital, Andorra la Vella. Visit Església de Sant Esteve, a 12th-century heritage church in Plaça del Príncep Benlloch, and enjoy a leisurely walk through the city’s historic streets before stopping for an authentic Andorran lunch. Your driver can recommend local restaurants, or you may choose a spot that catches your eye.
After lunch, enjoy free time to explore Andorra’s well-known duty-free shops or, if you prefer more history, visit the Romanesque church of St. Miguel d’Engolasters alongside the Madriu River.
At 16:00, begin your return journey to Spain with a pleasant stop at Coll de Nargó. Admire the 11th-century Romanesque church of San Clemente and take in sweeping views of the Segre Valley. Relax with an afternoon drink as the sun dips lower in the sky. Before heading back to Barcelona, you may also visit the picturesque mountain town of 5Ax Les Thermes , well-known as a spa destination and a popular base for outdoor activities.
