About the ride
Get your passport ready, and prepare for a once in a lifetime trip through three amazing countries in just one day! Leave Barcelona bright and early, and see the best historical sites and most popular landmarks of France, Spain and Andorra. Although every aspect of your tour is customizable, the following itinerary is one we suggest.
From Barcelona, your friendly driver will take you directly to the historical town of Baga, Spain, arriving at 8:30. In this medieval town, you will have the opportunity to visit the amazing St. Esteve de Bagà church, and walk around the Plaça Porxada, the town’s central square, built in the 13th-century. Here you can also gaze upon the stunning mountains of the surrounding Casi-Moixero, and take some fabulous Spanish photographs.
Just a short journey over the border into France and you will arrive in the walled town of Mont-Luis. Take advantage of the traditional croissants, Pain de chocolat and cafe au lait, while enjoying a delicious French breakfast. In Mont-Luis you will find the impressive fortified Citadel, designed by Vauban and now classed as a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site. Whilst in this area, visit the world’s first ever solar furnace, built by the innovative engineer Felix Trombe in 1949.
Leaving Mount-Luis at 11:00, you will then make your way along the Pyrenees, a mountain range running through the middle of Spain and France, until you reach Andorra at its centre. Your next stop will be in the capital of Andorra, La Vella. One of the most beautiful churches in this city is the Església de Sant Esteve, a 12th-century heritage property located in the Plaça del Príncep Benlloch square. Take your time and enjoy the historic architecture and old houses of La Vella before stopping for a traditional Andorran lunch. Ask your driver for restaurant recommendations, or simply pop into one you see on your walk.
After a delicious lunch, you will then have some free time to explore the duty free shops in Andorra and find the perfect souvenirs for those back home. If you prefer a bit more history, then you can travel alongside the Madriu River to the Romanesque church of St. Miguel d’Engolasters instead.
At 16:00, your friendly driver will take you back across the border into Spain, for a quick stop at Coll de Nargó. Here you can admire the beautiful Romanesque church of San Climent, dating back to the 11th-century, and enjoy breathtaking views of the Segre valley. Have a relaxing afternoon drink as the sun begins to lower in the sky, before continuing your journey back to Barcelona.
You will arrive in Barcelona at around 19:00, just in time to enjoy an evening of Spanish wine and tapas. Your driver will happily drop you back at your accommodation, or at any other point of interest in the city.

Once you complete your booking you will receive an email with more details about the Three Countries in One Day: France, Andorra and Spain tour, your Welcome driver, and any more information you need to know regarding this experience. Feel free to reach out to our customer service team at firstname.lastname@example.org for any specific questions regarding the experience.
Can I customize the tour based on my needs?
Of course, that is one of the main benefits of having a Welcome experience. You can customize every last bit of the experience, from points of visit to time spent per landmark to adding in an extra food stop.
Will there be an official tour guide?
An official tour guide is not included because the overall experience is centered around the driver and the local’s perspective. Although the drivers are very knowledgeable regarding the points of visit, at no point can they be compared with a licensed tour guide who can give more in depth information regarding historic facts and information. If you would like to include an official tour guide in the experience please let us know via email after the booking is completed.
Do I need to be in a good physical shape?
The drivers are trained to adapt the experience depending on the type of participants. Whether you have kids or elders participating, the drivers know exactly how to handle special requests and provide an enjoyable experience accordingly.
Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes and be equipped with wet weather gear if rain is expected. In addition, please note that religious sites require modest attire- knees and shoulders must be covered.
BE AWARE OF THE HEAT
In the summer months be sure to wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and perhaps a hat, to shield yourself from the sun. We also recommend staying hydrated throughout the tour with the water provided.
Bring cash in the form of local currency (Euros), as many of the local vendors don’t accept card payments
SPECIAL NEEDS & ACCESSIBILITY
Please let us know if anyone in your group has special needs, or specific accessibility requirements, and we will be sure to accommodate your needs and tailor the tour accordingly.
Bring your passport and check Visa Requirments
A current valid passport is required on the day of travel. You must confirm and obtain any visa requirements prior to border crossing.
